Part-Time Budtender Position- The Flowery Newburgh

The Flowery is seeking enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and customer-focused Budtenders to join our growing team in Newburgh, NY.

As a Budtender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, educating customers on cannabis products, driving sales, and maintaining a welcoming, professional, and compliant retail environment.

• Greet every customer with a welcoming and professional attitude.
• Assist customers in selecting cannabis products based on their preferences and needs.
• Educate customers on product categories, strains, cannabinoids, terpenes, and consumption methods.
• Recommend complementary products and promotional offers to increase average transaction value.
• Meet individual and team sales goals.
• Maintain a positive, efficient, and personalized customer experience.

• Accurately process transactions through the Dutchie POS system.
• Verify customer identification and ensure compliance with New York State cannabis regulations.
• Maintain accurate cash handling procedures and register accountability.
• Restock merchandise, organize displays, and maintain product presentation standards.
• Assist with daily opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming sales floor.
• Follow company policies regarding inventory handling, security, and loss prevention.

• Stay informed about new cannabis products, brands, promotions, and industry trends.
• Participate in mandatory training sessions and vendor product education.
• Communicate effectively with management and fellow team members.
• Support store events, brand activations, and promotional initiatives.
• Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and accountability during every shift.

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Previous experience in retail, customer service, or sales.
• Cannabis industry experience is a plus but not required.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment preferred.
• Comfortable using POS systems and handling cash transactions.
• Knowledge of cannabis strains, cannabinoids, terpenes, and consumption methods is a plus.
• Experience with consultative selling preferred.
• Experience upselling complementary products.
• Experience educating first-time shoppers.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine retail duties.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Weekend availability is required.
• Must be willing to work evenings and holidays as business needs require.
• Must meet applicable New York State cannabis employee eligibility and training requirements.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
