We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Project Cargo Operations Specialist to join our Special Cargo & Strategic Projects team. In this role, you will support the operational execution of project cargo, OOG, heavy lift, and special cargo shipments across multiple transportation modes including ocean, road, air, intermodal, and multimodal solutions. You will be responsible for shipment coordination, documentation, operational follow-up, billing processes, and reporting activities to ensure smooth and compliant cargo movements worldwide.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Support end-to-end operational processes for project cargo, OOG, heavy lift, breakbulk, and special cargo shipments
- →Coordinate shipments across ocean, road, air, intermodal, and multimodal transportation solutions
- →Communicate with shipping lines, airlines, road carriers, customs brokers, port agents, warehouses, and overseas partners
- →Open, maintain, and close shipment files within the operational/TMS system
- →Prepare and verify transport documentation including B/L, AWB, CMR, packing lists, and customs-related documents
- →Track shipment milestones proactively and ensure timely operational updates
- →Support billing and invoicing activities while monitoring shipment-related costs and revenues
- →Verify supplier invoices and support cost control processes
- →Prepare Excel-based shipment, operational, and cost reports for management review
- →Identify operational risks and escalate issues promptly when necessary
- →Ensure compliance with local and international regulations related to OOG, dangerous goods, and special cargo transportation
- →Collaborate closely with Sales, Finance, and Operations teams to ensure smooth project execution
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, International Trade, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred,
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics operations,
- Hands-on exposure to project cargo, OOG, heavy lift, breakbulk, or special cargo shipments,
- Knowledge of multimodal transportation processes and operational documentation,
- Familiarity with IMDG / dangerous goods documentation is considered an advantage,
- Experience using TMS/ERP systems and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel,
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills,
- Ability to manage multiple shipment files and operational priorities simultaneously,
- Strong communication and coordination skills,
- Solution-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities,
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams,
- Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in dynamic operational environments,
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken,
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally when required,
