Trainee Accountant

Assisting in the preparation of financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports Supporting the senior accountants in performing audits, including conducting audit tests and verifying financial records Assisting in the preparation and filing of tax returns and ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations Assisting in the analysis and interpretation of financial data to provide insights and recommendations to clients Assisting in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts to help clients make informed business decisions Assisting in the maintenance and organization of client records and financial documents Collaborating with colleagues to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks and projects Staying up-to-date with accounting principles, regulations, and industry best practices Assisting in the development and implementation of accounting systems and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy Participating in training sessions and professional development activities to enhance accounting knowledge and skills Requirements Completed Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field SAIPA registration Strong mathematical and analytical skills Proficiency in accounting software (preferably Xero) and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities Knowledge of accounting principles and practices Benefits In-depth training and development - allowing you to gain accounting exposure and experience to successfully complete your SAIPA logbook and articles Flexi hours - allowing for work-life balance 18 days of leave a year 10 days of study leave a year
