Maintenance Technician

Orchid Development operates as a division within the Flowers Group of Companies. It is responsible for managing various rental properties, including Cricket Square, Flowers Apartments, Middle Ground Apartments, Eucalyptus Building, and Orchid Village.

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician with in-depth knowledge of maintenance procedures, electrical systems, heating and ventilation systems, plumbing, and equipment installation. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, work in an organized manner, and demonstrate effective communication.

General duties & responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify issues
• Repair faulty equipment units and damaged structures
• Assist in the development in maintenance procedures
• Assist with heating and plumbing systems to guarantee functionality
• Plan and schedule repairs
• Conduct periodic quality checks on equipment and systems for conformity
• Perform general maintenance tasks, including landscaping, painting, and carpentry
• Assist in maintaining inventory records for equipment and supplies

 Specific requirements:

• A diploma in a trade from a recognized vocational school
• 3-5 years’ experience with working knowledge in electrical and mechanical systems
• Ability to determine the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job and to monitor gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
