Assistant Technical Designer

Location: Orange County, CA | On-site

We are partnering with a growing Southern California lifestyle brand to identify an Assistant Technical Designer to support the development of swim, active, and lifestyle apparel.

This is a great opportunity for an early-career technical design professional who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and interested in building deeper experience across fit, construction, product development, and production.

  Support prototype management and follow up with vendors throughout the development process.

  Duplicate and maintain tech packs in Excel and accurately enter garment measurements.

• →

  Measure and review prototype, SMS, PP, and TOP samples against submitted tech packs.

• →

  Prepare weekly fit lists across product categories.

• →

  Communicate with vendors and respond to questions in a timely manner.

• →

  Maintain development trackers and monitor incoming sample timelines against calendar deadlines.

• →

  Organize and maintain tech pack files and technical documentation.

• →

  Partner with domestic production and assist with pattern-related needs.

• →

  Maintain and organize samples by season and delivery.

• →

  Provide additional technical design and development support as needed.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Excellent organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Understanding of the end-to-end apparel product lifecycle.

• Experience measuring garment samples and accurately entering technical data.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Self-motivated with a sense of urgency and collaborative approach.

• Comfortable working within a fast-paced, cross-functional team.

• Adaptable, curious, and eager to continue developing technical knowledge.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
