Are you interested in our Fall 2027 Basic Hair Program?  We'd love to get you more information about registering for this program and getting you started on your journey toward becoming a successful hair stylist.

This "Basic Hair Design" series equips students for entry level positions in the hair industry. Some of the very top stylists in the valley are part of designing and teaching at our education center.  This means our students learn from the best, in a manner specifically designed by Refinery House Creative Director: Aly Joyce.  Part of what makes our program great (besides being led by very successful stylists) is that we are committed to keeping our student to teacher ratio low, and so currently cap the class at 6-10 (depending on teacher ratio).  There are still spots available for Spring & Fall 2027, though we anticipate both programs being full at the time they begin.  We've had a great deal of success bringing students from zero experience to full time working stylists.

Schedule:

The Fall program dates are as follows:

  • Tues - Fri 10 am-3 pm Sept 13, 2027 - March 17, 2028
  • Theory portion complete: Nov 26, 2027
  • Technical portion: Nov 30, 2027 - March 17, 2028

Periodically there are instances of interruption to service.  We do try to give as much notice as possible to accommodate changes to the schedule. As needed, we'll add training hours in salon to make up for any missed days. The following are the scheduled breaks for the Fall 2027 program:

  • December 21- 24, 2027

Details: The program runs for 26 wks + one week vacation, and consists of 520hrs.  There are 10 classes that make up the curriculum designed by Aly Joyce, these are described briefly on our website.
