We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Associate Dentist to join a collaborative dental team and provide high-quality care to patients during our Friday and Saturday clinic hours. Competitive hourly compensation Provider incentive bonus opportunity National Health Service Corps (NHSC) approved site Paid sick time Dedicated support team, including Dental Assistants, Hygienists, and Front Office staff Clinical mentorship and support from the Dental Supervisor and Chief Dental Officer Opportunity to develop a long-term employment relationship with a growing organization What You'll Do As an Associate Dentist, you will provide comprehensive preventive, restorative, and emergency dental care to both pediatric and adult patients in a fast-paced Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) environment. You will play a key role in improving oral health outcomes while supporting patient education, team development, and continuous quality improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Provide routine and emergency dental services, including diagnosis, treatment planning, oral examinations, restorative procedures, crown and bridge work, removable prosthetics, uncomplicated endodontics, and minor oral surgery Initiate and interpret diagnostic x-rays and laboratory studies Administer and prescribe anesthetics, medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate Refer patients to specialty providers and other care services when indicated Educate patients and families on oral health, disease prevention, and treatment options Direct, coordinate, and supervise the clinical activities of Dental Assistants and Dental Hygienists Collaborate with medical, behavioral health, and dental providers in an integrated care setting Support clinic quality, productivity, and patient satisfaction initiatives Participate in staff training, community health promotion, and safety/compliance programs Partner with the Chief Dental Officer to support clinic productivity, scheduling, quality initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts Maintain compliance with all federal, state, local, and organizational regulations, policies, and safety standards What We Are Looking For Required Qualifications DDS or DMD degree from an ADA-accredited dental school Current, valid, and unrestricted California Dental License Minimum of 2 years of clinical dental practice experience Current DEA registration and CPR certification (BCLS/ACLS) Experience treating both pediatric and adult patients Proficiency with Electronic Dental Records (EDR/EHR) Strong clinical, communication, leadership, and patient service skills Preferred Qualifications Experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or community health center setting Experience with NextGen EDR Bilingual English/Spanish The Ideal Candidate You are: Passionate about serving underserved communities Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Flexible, adaptable, and solutions-oriented An effective leader, mentor, and team player Skilled at building trust with patients from diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds Committed to quality improvement, patient satisfaction, and continuous learning Success in This Role Success is measured by quality outcomes, patient satisfaction, treatment completion rates, and productivity goals.
