Blight Abatement Worker

The City of Topeka is seeking two hard-working individuals to serve as Blight Abatement Workers in the Street division. This position supports the City's efforts in cleaning up and maintaining public spaces to improve the City's appearance and quality of life. This is a year-round, full-time position working 40 hours a week in all types of weather conditions.

• →Maintain grassy areas in roadways and easements by mowing grass, weed eating, trimming shrubs, spraying weeds, etc.
• →Pick up a variety of trash including mattresses and furniture.
• →Operate riding lawn mowers, push mowers, weed eaters, chain saws, blowers, etc.
• →Complete paperwork utilizing designated devices and software.
