Payments & Reconciliation Specialist

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Cash & Payments Specialist to join our growing FinOps team. This role sits at the intersection of Accounts Payable, Accounting and Treasury, working out what needs to be paid and when, helping manage cash outflows in partnership with Treasury, and supporting the Director of Finnace Operations in defining payment prioritisation. You will also own daily, weekly and monthly bank reconciliations for assigned accounts, and play an active role in streamlining processes and platforms to drive long term efficiency. You'll be joining a global finance team.

Payment Prioritisation & Cash Management:

• →

  Work with AP and Accounting to understand what needs to be paid, when, and why

• →

  Partner with Treasury to manage cash outflows and align funding to payment need

• →

  Support the Director of FinOps in defining and applying payment prioritisation criteria

• →

  Maintain and update the cash forecast, flagging risks or funding gaps early

Bank Reconciliation:

• →

  Perform daily, weekly and monthly bank reconciliations for assigned accounts

• →

  Investigate and clear unmatched transactions, returned payments and duplicate entries promptly

• →

  Reconcile the AP subledger to the general ledger and prepare supporting schedules for month end close

Process & Platform Improvement:

• →

  Review current AP, payments and reconciliation platforms and identify where they fall short

• →

  Support the evaluation, development and implementation of new systems and process changes to drive long term efficiency

• →

  Work with the global AP team to align processes and controls as new currencies and countries are added

• →

  Track key operational metrics and drive continuous improvement in accuracy, timeliness and efficiency

Cross Functional Collaboration:

• →

  Act as a key point of contact for payment and reconciliation related questions from internal stakeholders and external vendors

• →

  Work with the wider FinOps team and the accounts payable sub team to maintain consistent processes

• →

  Support the transition of processes as parts of the function evolve, including expansion into new currencies and countries

• Experience: 2 to 3 years of accounts payable or treasury operations experience, including exposure to bank reconciliation and cash management

• Tax Exposure: Some experience with vendor tax documentation collection is a plus

• System Proficiency: Netsuite, Zonecapture, Omnea and SAP Concur an advantage

• Skills: Strong analytical and Excel skills, high attention to detail, and a collaborative working style

• Mindset: A startup mentality, comfortable in a fast paced, evolving environment, and confident working independently as an individual contributor

• Languages: Fluent in English; additional languages a plus
