About the Role
~1 min readDefine and periodically review the framework for reportable incidents and breaches.
Participate in risk event and incident escalation processes, including support to assess impact.
Manage all regulatory notifications of reportable incidents/breaches, including root-cause analysis and follow-up. Maintain the reportable incidents and breaches register, including detail and resolution.
Support responses to customer complaints and escalations routed through regulatory ombudsmen and agencies.
Support the implementation of the Compliance Operating Model for one or more compliance domains, and provide support for other compliance domains as required.
Contribute to the licensing strategy and roadmap for SlimPay, including supporting business cases.
Support the assessment of licensing needs (e.g., from new products or to solve pain points) and processes for the application of new licences, permissions, and variations of permission.
Develop and maintain a licensing fit-for-purpose map by product, service, and jurisdiction. Maintain a licence maintenance and renewal plan, schedule, and process to keep all authorisations in good standing.
Engage with Product Counsel to maintain a working understanding of the product and feature roadmap.
Support regulatory assessments of new products and features, providing compliance input and requirements.
Support go-to-market: ensure compliance issues are resolved before soft or full launch, escalation and monitoring plans are live, reporting paths are established, and conduct post-launch compliance monitoring.
5+ years of compliance, risk management and/or regulatory experience in payments or financial services, preferably with knowledge of requirements applicable to payment institutions and account-to-account payment providers.
Working knowledge of EU and French payments regulation (e.g., PSD2, e-money and payment institution requirements) and AML/CTF obligations; experience working alongside regulators and industry bodies.
Proven ability to support and maintain effective compliance programmes within a three-lines-of-defence model.
Strong stakeholder management and organisational skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, fluent in French and highly proficient in English.
A self-starter – comfortable working independently and within a team in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
Proactive with an ability to take initiative, problem-solve, make decisions, and assume responsibility.
Strong ability to think critically, analyse complex data, challenge the status quo, and make sound recommendations.
