Turner Staffing Group is seeking an Engineering Technician – Underground Geotechnical for a 3-month project supporting Technical Services with our mining client.

This position will work in an underground mining environment supporting geotechnical activities, ground support practices, field testing, monitoring, data collection, and general technical services activities. The ideal candidate will have underground mining experience and working knowledge of ground support systems, including rock bolts, cable bolts, shotcrete, and fibercrete.

Responsibilities

→Underground mining experience with knowledge of ground support systems, including rock bolts, cable bolts, shotcrete, and fibercrete.
→Familiarity with shotcrete/concrete application and underground ground support practices.
→Strong safety focus and ability to recognize and appropriately respond to underground ground hazards.
→Ability to follow established procedures and supervisor direction.
→Effective communication and teamwork skills.
→Ability and willingness to work in an underground mining environment.
→Ability to work the assigned rotating schedule.
→Ability to perform the essential functions associated with a field-based underground position.

Assignment duration, schedule, duties, and other working conditions may be adjusted based on operational requirements.

Work Authorization

Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
