A temporary appointment extended to an expert in a specific field to provide instruction in connection with an established program.

The appointments are for:
•One (1) academic term at a time and possess no continuing contractual relationship with the University.
•May teach undergraduate courses with a Master's degree in a specified discipline.
•Can be used for temporary (OPS) faculty titles only.

This position requires a background check. In conjunction with the University's policy, this position may also require a credit check.

The holder of this position is designated as a “Responsible Employee” pursuant to their role under Title IX.
