The Monterrey Zone Office serves as UNICEF Mexico’s strategic platform for engagement in the Northeastern Region, covering Nuevo León, Tamaulipas and Coahuila. Under UNICEF Mexico’s One Office approach, the office brings together programme support, advocacy, communications, partnerships, private sector fundraising, visibility and territorial coordination to achieve sustainable results for children.

The region combines significant opportunities to strengthen child-centred policies and protection systems with important challenges, particularly violence affecting children and adolescents. As one of Mexico’s major economic hubs, it also offers strong potential to build alliances with state governments, civil society, academia, media, cultural and sports organizations, businesses and philanthropists, and to mobilize resources for UNICEF’s work in Mexico and globally.

Under the guidance of the UNICEF Representative in Mexico, you will lead UNICEF’s presence and programme commitment in the Northeastern Region. You will represent UNICEF with state-level counterparts, primarily in Nuevo León, and ensure that programme, partnership, fundraising, communications, operational and security efforts come together coherently to deliver results for children.
