Programme RGPH2 / Operations
The National Logistics Operations Associate will support the National Logistics Specialist in the day-to-day coordination and implementation of logistics operations related to the Second General Population and Housing Census (RGPH2).
The consultant will contribute to the planning, coordination, monitoring and reporting of national logistics activities, while ensuring effective coordination with the Bureau Central du Recensement (BCR), the Institut National de la Statistique (INS), provincial logistics teams and other stakeholders involved in the implementation of the census.
Beyond the RGPH2, the consultant will also contribute to strengthening logistics coordination and operational support for UNFPA logistics activities as required.
National Logistics Coordination
- Support the day-to-day coordination of logistics operations under the RGPH2.
- Support implementation of the national logistics strategy.
- Coordinate logistics activities between Kinshasa and regional clusters.
- Ensure regular follow-up of operational priorities.

Frequent travel within the country as required.

Requirements

The consultant will work under the direct supervision of the National Logistics Specialist.
He/She will work in close collaboration with:
- BCR/INS
- Operations Unit
- Programme Teams
- Procurement
- RHCS
- Regional Logistics Consultants
- Provincial Logistics Teams
- Frequent travel throughout the DRC.
- Travel to provincial logistics hubs.
- Participation in assessments, trainings and supervision missions.
Bachelor's degree or First level degree in: Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration or Related field
Minimum 6 years of progressively responsible experience in: Logistics, Supply Chain, Humanitarian logistics ,Warehouse management and Transport management
Experience with: UN agencies (highly desirable), Large-scale logistics operations, National deployment projects and Humanitarian emergencies
- French: Required
