Windsor Troy Law, LLP, is looking to add a Settlement Negotiator to our Personal Injury Department. The Personal Injury Settlement Negotiator will be responsible for managing and negotiating the settlement of personal injury claims before they proceed to litigation. This role requires strong communication and negotiation skills, extensive experience with insurance companies, and a commitment to delivering excellent client service. We are looking for someone with previous experience handling and examining bodily injury claims for Auto Insurance companies or who has experience negotiating with Auto Insurance companies. (Plaintiff and/or Defense).
Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Review the facts of the case, including medical records, police reports, witness statements, and other relevant documents.
- →Assess the strengths and weaknesses of the case to determine the best settlement strategy.
- →Engage in discussions with insurance companies, opposing counsel, or other parties to reach a fair settlement.
- →Present evidence and arguments to justify the compensation being sought for the client.
- →Resolve any remaining issues or disputes related to the settlement agreement.
- →Counter offers made by the opposing side, ensuring the client’s best interests are represented.
- →Ensure that the settlement is fair and provides adequate compensation for medical expenses, lost wages, pain and suffering, and other damages.
- →Obtain expert reports that can substantiate the claims and help in maximizing the settlement value.
- →Estimate the potential compensation the client may be entitled to based on injuries, damages, and liability.
- →Work both independently and as a member of a team.
Required Qualifications:
- →At least 1 year of legal experience, specifically in Personal Injury
- →1+ years of experience using Microsoft Excel, edit, sort/filter and save spreadsheets (can maintain complex spreadsheets).
- →1+ years of office experience
- →Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- →Experience with Case Management Software
