About the Role
~1 min readRadiotherapy is used in the care of around half of all people with cancer, yet many patients experience side effects that significantly reduce quality of life. While emerging technologies can substantially reduce these effects, access is often limited by cost, complexity, or infrastructure.
The Image X Institute has been awarded a major Translational Program Grant to address this challenge by developing and translating scalable, low-cost radiotherapy and imaging innovations with the potential to improve outcomes and reduce inequities in cancer care.
We are seeking a Research Fellow/Program Manager (Level B/C) to support the successful delivery of this ambitious, multi‑year research program. Working closely with the Program Director (Professor Paul Keall), Chief Investigators, clinical partners, and stakeholders, you will conduct research on a theme of the program and provide program‑level coordination, governance support, and operational leadership.
As Program Manager, you will play a central role in the Program’s research, as well as taking a lead role in the coordinating the delivery of the Program, ensuring activities progress in line with funding requirements, milestones, and timelines. This role sits at the interface of academic leadership, research operations, and stakeholder engagement, and contributes directly to the Program’s long‑term impact goals. This role suits a researcher who combines strong organisational capability with experience in research programs and a commitment to translation and impact.
