LOCATION:                         Hybrid / Corporate Office in Richmond Hill, Ontario

SALARY:                             $145,000 - $160,000, up to 10% discretionary incentive target*

Venterra Realty is, at its heart, a technology and data-driven company.  Our strategy is to centralize, automate and liberate.  In today’s world, that means adopting AI to enable our corporate and on-site teams with agentic workflows, deep analytics and machine learning to support our most important decisions.  Good data is the foundation of AI, so Venterra’s Data Engineering team is building a modern data stack with a Medallion architecture based on Snowflake, Airflow and AWS to power our Analytics and AI teams.  We’re integrating our proprietary in-house applications with commercial enterprise applications and third-party data sources to give us an edge in the multi-family real estate business.

We are seeking a Systems Integration Architect to lead the architectural design, governance, implementation, and long-term sustainability of enterprise system integrations across the organization.

Reporting to the Director, Data Engineering, this role will serve as the technical authority for how commercial enterprise applications interact, exchange information, and support business processes. The successful candidate will partner with system owners, vendors, Cyber Security, Data Engineering, Software Development and business stakeholders to ensure integrations are secure, maintainable, supportable, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards. This is a hands-on role, with approximately half of the time focused on implementation and sustainment activities, including Python and Java software development.

  • →Maintain integration inventories, system interaction diagrams, systems-of-record documentation, lifecycle standards, and support models.

  • →Partner with system owners, Cyber Security, Data Engineering, Data Modelling, vendors, and business stakeholders to simplify system interactions and deliver reliable business capabilities.
  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise systems architecture, solution architecture, systems integration, or a related discipline, with progression from hands-on software development.
  • Current experience designing, developing, and testing production-grade integrations using AWS services, Airflow, Python, Java, APIs, messaging, event-driven patterns, and interface design.
  • Experience governing integrations across multiple enterprise applications and evaluating vendor-delivered solutions using sound quality assurance and testing practices.
  • Strong knowledge of integration operations, including monitoring, support, incident management, maintainability, security, privacy, and compliance.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to explain architectural trade-offs concisely and balance strategy with practical business needs.
  • Demonstrated curiosity for Agent/AI resource use, with repertoire of use-cases that increase the velocity and quality of integration solutions
  • Experience with Snowflake, data warehousing, analytics, and integrations involving ERP, HRIS, CRM, and financial systems would be an asset.
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion, Workday, Coupa, cloud integration platforms, API management technologies, and AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud integration services would be an asset.
