About Verod-Kepple Africa Ventures


Verod-Kepple Africa Ventures (VKAV)  is the first fund by Verod-Kepple Africa Partners, a joint venture between Verod Capital Management Limited and Kepple Africa Ventures. Launched in 2021, VKAV is a US$60 million pan-African venture fund investing in scalable, tech-enabled, post-revenue businesses bringing about transformative change by addressing difficult challenges across various industries on the continent.

 

Our portfolio companies currently consist of Moove, NowPay, Koko Networks, Ceviant, Chari, Shuttlers, Nawy, Julaya, Chefaa, Cloudline, mTek, Zone, Tagaddod, WorkPay and Autochek. We are supported by a diverse group of prominent global institutional investors and family offices with extensive experience in investing in emerging markets.

 

About the role  

 

We are looking for an exceptional individual to join our team as a venture fellow. This role will require a lot of independent thinking and responsibility, with the opportunity to create a flexible, fulfilling experience for you to build a foundation in venture as a career.

 

What you will be working on:

  • Supporting the team through the life cycle of our investments, including:  sourcing, conducting due diligence, preparing and writing memos, and executing the transaction.
  • Conducting early and discreet research and analysis of certain sector and industry trends, competitive landscape, and company benchmarking for pipeline development
  • Supporting portfolio management by tracking performance and assisting with internal reporting 
  • Interesting special projects that help to build our firm and brand when needed
