Responsibilities

  • →Undertake HR projects both locally and as part of the global/regional HR function 
  • →From time to time, help develop programs relating to soft skills, team building and training 
  • →Provide HR data analytics and reports as needed 
  • →ISO audit preparation and participation 
  • →Partner with the Health and Safety Manager and Payroll Coordinator for workers compensation, return to work and employee absence matters 

 

  • Build effective relationships within the organization to enable a culture of trust 
  • Collaborate with managers and teams to support a high-performance culture and employee engagement 
  • Execute culture and engagement initiatives and activities 
  • Support the business to retain critical talent and reduce turnover 
  • Provide insights from engagement surveys, employee feedback and exit interviews to improve employee retention 
  • Proactively participate and contribute to Culture Booster 

 

  • Partner with Hiring Managers, Talent Acquisition and external agencies to ensure the hiring needs of the Malaysia team are fulfilled in an effective and timely manner 
  • Support interviews as needed 
  • Administer headcount approval requests, budget for roles, offers to candidates, visas for transfer, etc 
  • Manage the onboarding and orientation process for new starters 

 

  • Keep abreast of employment laws and regulations in MY 
  • Provide advice and support to managers and employees as appropriate 
  • Maintain HR documentation, employee records, policies and procedures to meet compliance standards 
  • Coordinate internal and external HR-related audits, ensuring a green scorecard, actioning improvements promptly and proactively reducing the risk of any non-conformances 
  • Support Payroll in accurate and timely submission of government reports, such as WGEA 
  • Provide HR-related information for tenders and customer queries 
  • Administer credit card application approvals 

 

  • Support and execute succession planning to build a strong pipeline of talent and leaders 
  • Support the development of employees based on the priorities that the business sets out to achieve as well as to support career aspiration of talent 
  • Assist to build strong leadership that is focused on high performance, teamwork, and development and retention of talent 
  • Support managers to identify training and competency needs of employees, source and organize training activities for learning and development plans

  • To ensure accuracy of the data maintenance 
  • Ability to analyze and response to data/ census request   

 

  • Support performance processes including objective setting, mid-year reviews, end of year reviews 
  • Address employee issues including grievances, performance management, investigations, etc. 

 

  • Identify opportunities for improvement in HR policies, procedures and processes 
  • Priorities and implement approved HR strategies to enhance productivity, high performance and the employee experience 

 

  • Comply with all Work, Health & Safety, Environment and Quality obligations 
  • Actively practice and promote safety in the workplace 

 

Requirements

  • Degree in HR/IR or similar 
  • Strong in analytical skills and excel applications. 
  • Employment and labor law 
  • HR processes and enhancement  
  • Experience with global matrix organizations 
  • Experience within the technology industry preferred 
  • Min of 5 years’ experience in generalist HR 
  • Conflict resolution 
  • Strong communicator (verbal & written) 
  • Good interpersonal skills and has the ability to build trusting relationships 
  • Professional, fair and empathetic in dealing with people 
  • Attention to detail 
  • Organized 
  • Analytical and problem-solving capability 
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
