We are currently looking for a full time Accounting Services Senior Specialist in our Accounting Services Department. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, organized, energetic, and enjoys working in an ever-changing and fast-paced environment. The candidate will prepare client financials, review the financial prepared by our outsource team, and work closely with other department leaders in onboarding new clients as well as delivering value-add services for our existing clients. This role also involves furthering the growth of the department, sharing knowledge with team members, and active participation in improving processes and enhancing client deliverables. The successful candidate will participate in the accounting service department initiatives to further automate and streamline client monthly financial reporting packages looking to provide not only accurate reporting but to provide external controller services as well.


Job Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Processing and handling client activity to develop financial reports on a monthly, quarterly and/or annual basis
  • Review and continually enhance client deliverables and monthly/quarterly reporting packages
  • Manage budgets, deliverable deadlines, and ensure cross communication with other departments within firm. Work collaboratively with all departments within firm
  • Ability to multi-task, working with team to assist several clients
  • Work collaboratively with client development team to onboard new accounting service clients
  • Work with management and partner team to further collaborate firm service offerings
  • ·Team player willing to help with backlog of work if necessary

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a variety of industries with advanced knowledge of QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Enterprise and QuickBooks desktop versions
  • Bachelor’s degree in the accounting field and/or Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, helpful but not required
  • Strong analytical skills and reporting experience including a firm understanding of the difference between Tax and GAAP accounting basis methods along with working knowledge of sales/use tax reporting
  • 5+ years’ Public Accounting industry experience
  • Microsoft Office Suite skills
  • Bill.com experience a plus but not required
