We are seeking a highly talented Senior Project Architect with 8+ years of professional experience to join our collaborative team. The ideal candidate is a strong designer and technical leader who can guide project teams, coordinate consultants, and help keep projects moving on schedule from design through construction. This role is well suited for an experienced architect who enjoys leading people and project delivery while remaining actively engaged in design, documentation, and client service.

Senior Project Architect Responsibilities:

Lead architectural project teams through programming, design, documentation, permitting, and construction administration
Develop and manage project work plans, internal task schedules, and deliverables; understand project scope and fee and help align team effort accordingly in coordination with the Project Manager or Principal
Lead design development and technical execution while maintaining design intent, document quality, and constructability
Direct and coordinate the work of consultants and internal team members, clearly communicating priorities, deadlines, and project requirements
Serve as a day-to-day project leader in client, consultant, contractor, and agency meetings and presentations as appropriate
Coordinate architectural specifications with drawings and consultant documents while applying advanced knowledge of building codes, systems, materials, detailing, and permitting requirements
Lead document reviews and quality-control efforts and help resolve complex design, coordination, and construction issues
Mentor and guide less-experienced staff through delegation, technical direction, feedback, and collaborative problem-solving

Senior Project Architect Experience and Desired Skill Set:

Professional degree in Architecture
8+ years of professional architectural experience with increasing project leadership responsibility
Architectural licensure preferred; candidates actively pursuing licensure will be considered
Strong proficiency in Revit and BIM workflows; experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
Demonstrated experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams and delivering projects through all phases
Advanced knowledge of construction documents, construction administration, building codes, systems, and detailing
Strong leadership, organization, communication, and decision-making skills
Ability to balance design quality, technical requirements, project scope, team workflow, and schedules across multiple priorities
