Work Experience

Successful completion of Clinical Fellowship Year required in most circumstances. Will consider strong CF placements if operationally appropriate.
Experience in Level 1 or 2 Trauma Hospital preferred.
2+ years of experience in acute care setting is desired.
Certification and/or clinical Experience with the following populations PREFERRED:

License and Certification

Current CA license issued by the State of CA Department of Consumer Affairs, Speech Pathology and Audiology Examining Committee.
Certificate of Clinical Competence issued by the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA)
NANT certification or Infant Feeding experience desired.
Current Basic Life Support Provider certificate from the American Heart Association.

Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of the principles and practices of Speech Pathology.
Familiar with standard Speech Pathology equipment.
Provide teaching, training, oversight and collaboration to members of the Rehab multidisciplinary team as specified for specialized unit patient care.
Ability to analyze situations and take appropriate action.
Ability to express oneself clearly in speaking and writing.
Emotional stability, personal and professional integrity, and interest in growth and learning.
Collaborative professional open to learning and participation with an experienced team.
