Maintenance Manager

The Maintenance Manager plans, organizes and supervises the Division's maintenance staff and functions. This management position holds responsible for overall fleet/equipment support and associated maintenance processes that include inspection, repair, pre/post servicing, vehicle distribution, quality assurance and disposal at the Division level. This manager will work in partnership with the Regional Maintenance Manager and Operations teams to ensure overall fleet condition, equipment reliability, safety and cost effective fleet performance.

1. A High School diploma is required.
2. Requires 15+ years of progressive hands-on experience in fleet management (Preferred background in Waste Services, Transportation, Maintenance, Parts administration)
3. Solid project management, resource planning, oral and written communication skills.
4. Specialized understanding of maintenance procedures and general knowledge of industry regulations (e.g. EPA, DOT, OSHA).
5. Ability to manage complex and dynamic situations requiring a well developed sense of strategic and tactical priorities.
6. High degree of autonomy, yet team oriented with ability to work cross-functionally within a matrix organization.

1. Skilled in planning, implementing goals required in the cost effective management of allocated resources.

1. Basic understanding of accounting principals
2. Attention to detail with demonstrated ability to produce accurate and consistent work quality.
3. Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and maintenance software programs (e.g. Dossier, etc.).
4. Strong analytical skills with expertise in researching, interpreting, data management, and report generation.
5. Experience managing and/or working as member of indirect/cross-functional team.
6. Must excel at managing and influencing the operational and administrative processes inherent in a high growth environment.
