Backend Engineer

• 3–6 years of professional experience in Backend Development or Software Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and MongoDB.
• Experience developing and consuming REST APIs.
• Good understanding of databases and distributed application concepts.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication, debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• → Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance backend applications using Python.
• → Build and maintain robust RESTful APIs and backend services.
• → Work extensively with MongoDB, including database design, schema modeling, queries, indexing, and performance optimization.
• → Develop clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-documented code.
• → Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective backend solutions.
• → Integrate backend services with internal systems, third-party APIs, and other external services.
• → Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, bugs, and production issues.
• → Implement appropriate validation, error handling, logging, and security practices across backend services.
• → Write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure application reliability.
• → Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
• → Collaborate with frontend developers, product teams, QA engineers, and other stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
• → Monitor application performance and contribute to continuous improvements in scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• → Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely solutions in development and production environments.

Python: Strong proficiency in Python with hands-on experience building backend applications, services, and APIs.

MongoDB: Strong practical knowledge of MongoDB, including data modeling, CRUD operations, aggregation pipelines, indexing, query optimization, and database performance.

Backend Development: Strong understanding of backend architecture, API design, authentication, application security, and software development principles.

Problem Solving: Ability to analyze complex technical problems, identify root causes, and develop efficient and scalable solutions.

Software Engineering: Good understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, version control, testing, and clean coding practices.

HTML: Basic to intermediate understanding of HTML and web application fundamentals, enabling effective collaboration with frontend teams and better understanding of end-to-end application flows.

Experience with cloud platforms, containerization, CI/CD pipelines, Git, Docker, or other modern development tools will be an added advantage.
