Currently specializing in the design and supply of fabricated steel packages for Pre-Engineered and Hybrid Steel Structures, our overwhelming success has established a deep network of owners and general contractors, allowing us to set ambitious goals for this year and beyond. 

Position Summary  Western Steel Buildings is seeking an Estimator to serve a key role within our company, helping to deliver superior products and value to our clients. This role is crucial for managing financial risk and ensuring the accuracy of our project estimates. Project types include recreation, warehouse, aviation, cultivation, municipalities, educational facilities, churches, and others

Job Responsibilities

-Acts as a knowledgeable resource in the field of PEMB design, providing expertise to
internal and external stakeholders.
-Advise the sales team on best practices for steel building takeoffs and design.
-Responsible for identifying, managing, and mitigating financial risk exposure to Western
Steel Buildings
-Maintains knowledge of third-party vendors to accurately estimate project costs
-Develop and improve knowledge of PEMB best practices and design limitations
-Review estimates completed by the sales team and other estimators for accuracy and
scope
-Reports to Estimating Manager


Qualifications

-Proficient in Metal Building Software with 5-10 years of relevant experience (preferred)
-Experience with Tekla is a plus
-Estimating experience within and knowledge of the construction industry
