Your Impact
WNA is seeking a highly organized and proactive Project & Operations Manager to support project management, oversee drafting workflows, and lead day-to-day operations. This role will also provide key support to our Business Development efforts to ensure project success and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative and results driven environment. The Project & Operations Manager will have solid experience working on a construction site and/or hands-on experience and familiarity with HVAC, electrical and plumbing building systems. This role will work alongside project engineers and play a key role is advancing our mission and vision. This opportunity is available at our Pittsburgh office.
P&OM Priorities
- Maintain strong communication, manage expectations and ensure deliverables align with client goals
- Ensure all WNA Standards and Client standards are followed
- Manage budgets, hours and project invoicing while overseeing quality check and assurance reviews and deadlines
- Support WNA Project Managers by collaborating and coordinating across design, engineering and construction disciplines effectively
- Communicate weekly with PIC, team leaders and all project stakeholders and coordinate with all internal resources
- Conduct project punch lists, construction administration visits and some site surveys as needed
- Oversee and organize digital design infrastructure, including supporting drafting standards, libraries, procedures
- Support the training and mentoring of drafting team members
- Contribute to and support business development initiatives and strategic efforts
- Foster a positive and productive working environment
- Continuously improve efficiencies and outcomes
What You Need
- Minimum 3+ years experience managing construction projects in various markets (commercial, education, etc.) from start to finish
- Experience working on a construction site, and proven hands-on working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire protection building systems
- Strong understanding of how building systems are designed and ability to read construction documents
- Strong understanding of project workflows, managing budgets, schedules and project documentation
- Proven ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with contractors, vendors, and cross-discipline teams
- Proficiency in: Microsoft Office 365 and project management software
- Demonstrates a high level of personal integrity, professionalism and self awareness
- Possesses excellent collaboration, facilitation, and analytical skills
- Physical requirements: climb stairs and use a ladder as needed
- Valid drivers license
