Job Title:	Masonicare Independent Living Recreation Intern
Department:	Office of Community Engagement
Student Employment Type:	Federal Work-Study
Responsibilities:	Assist with planning, preparing, setting up, and cleaning up approved recreation programs and events. Welcome residents, encourage participation, and provide courteous program assistance. Help facilitate games, crafts, discussions, wellness activities, and special events under staff supervision. Prepare calendars, flyers, sign-up sheets, activity materials, and program supplies. Track attendance, gather participant feedback, and help summarize program participation. Maintain safe, clean, organized, and welcoming activity spaces. Follow resident-rights, privacy, safety, infection-prevention, and confidentiality requirements.
Qualifications:	Interest in recreation, event management, hospitality, aging services, or a related field. Positive, creative, dependable, and comfortable interacting with older adults. Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, and customer-service skills. Ability to follow directions, work as part of a team, and assist with light program setup.
Hours of Position:	Flexible schedule arranged with the supervisor around the student's class schedule; hours may vary based on department needs and approved events.
