About Woven by Toyota
Woven by Toyota is enabling Toyota’s once-in-a-century transformation into a mobility company. Inspired by a legacy of innovating for the benefit of others, our mission is to challenge the current state of mobility through human-centric innovation — expanding what “mobility” means and how it serves society.

Our work centers on four pillars: AD/ADAS, our autonomous driving and advanced driver assist technologies; Arene, our software development platform for software-defined vehicles; Woven City, a test course for mobility; and Cloud & AI, the digital infrastructure powering our collaborative foundation. Business-critical functions empower these teams to execute, and together, we’re working toward one bold goal: a world with zero accidents and enhanced well-being for all.

Our Corporate Real Estate and Workplace Services (CREWS) department focuses on cultivating a flexible, evidence-based workspace that drives our overarching business goals. We are committed to establishing a robust foundation that empowers the company and our staff to excel. In order to optimize our hybrid operational framework, CREWS acts as a strategic consultant, harmonizing physical facility usage with operational needs through expert real estate and management solutions.
We are on the hunt for a forward-thinking and dynamic EHS Manager to spearhead our Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) efforts across our Japanese locations. As a resident authority in the field, you will possess the gravitas to guide leadership and navigate intricate stakeholder dynamics while adapting worldwide safety benchmarks into practical, site-specific strategies. We want a champion who is dedicated to fostering secure, eco-conscious, and adaptive work environments and is motivated to instill a pervasive safety mindset within our rapidly evolving organization.
  • Strategic Leadership:
  • Direct the EHS roadmap across all domestic facilities, ensuring seamless integration with international safety frameworks and corporate missions
  • Crisis & Incident Management:
  • Drive the continuous refinement of the Crisis Management Plan (CMP) to maintain high standards of relevance and regulatory adherence
  • Act as a pivotal authority within the Crisis Management Team, offering strategic counsel during high-stakes scenarios such as security alerts or environmental emergencies
  • Partner with diverse organizational units to architect and synchronize comprehensive Business Continuity Plans (BCP)
  • Sustainability & Compliance:
  • Orchestrate sustainability programs that advance the organization’s pursuit of a carbon-neutral footprint
  • Uphold rigorous compliance with health, fire, and chemical safety mandates while staying ahead of shifting legal requirements
  • Govern the precise documentation and reporting of ecological metrics to government and regulatory bodies
  • Operations & Collaboration:
  • Engage with global safety counterparts and internal teams like Facilities and Security to catalyze enterprise-wide protective measures
  • Maintain the integrity and availability of all environmental governance and procedural documentation
  • Execute EHS-focused initiatives with a commitment to rigorous timeline and financial stewardship
  • Advocate for robust road safety protocols and holistic wellbeing schemes for all personnel
  • Over 5 years of experience managing external partners within the Environmental, Health, and Safety domain
  • A minimum of 10 years of professional business experience in a high-growth environment
  • Exceptional linguistic proficiency, including native or bilingual Japanese and advanced-level English fluency
  • Advanced degree or equivalent professional background in Emergency Management, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline
  • Profound mastery of sophisticated Incident Management systems and holistic EHS structural frameworks
  • Proven success in deploying comprehensive safety initiatives within intricate, global-scale corporate ecosystems
  • Direct experience spearheading enterprise-wide Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and resilience strategies
  • Certification as a Health Supervisor with a substantive history of conducting thorough workplace safety audits
  • Authoritative understanding of domestic statutes, specifically regarding fire prevention, chemical handling, and labor standards
  • Capacity to collaborate effectively with global counterparts and multifaceted internal business units
