About Woven by Toyota
Woven by Toyota is enabling Toyota’s once-in-a-century transformation into a mobility company. Inspired by a legacy of innovating for the benefit of others, our mission is to challenge the current state of mobility through human-centric innovation — expanding what “mobility” means and how it serves society.

Our work centers on four pillars: AD/ADAS, our autonomous driving and advanced driver assist technologies; Arene, our software development platform for software-defined vehicles; Woven City, a test course for mobility; and Cloud & AI, the digital infrastructure powering our collaborative foundation. Business-critical functions empower these teams to execute, and together, we’re working toward one bold goal: a world with zero accidents and enhanced well-being for all.

=========================================================================
The AD requirement team’s mission is to define the system requirements for AD/ADAS and to derive them into software subsystem requirements. Moreover, we cover not only traditional rule-based requirements management but also data-driven requirements management. By leveraging cutting-edge technology, we aim to create safer and more efficient systems. Our team is committed to innovation and quality, delivering solutions that support the future of mobility.
You are a highly skilled professional with experience in complex automotive system development, preferably including some exposure to AD/ADAS systems. You will have to convert system requirements into software requirements and design system behavior, in collaboration with cross-functional AD/ADAS stakeholders. You have leadership skills, enabling you to collaborate with cross-disciplinary design teams. Additionally, you are capable of exploring and managing requirements for data-driven systems.
  • Engage with various stakeholders to define vehicle-level system requirements
  • Decompose vehicle-level requirements into software subsystems, such as Sensors, Planner, Perception, MAP, and HMI
  • Manage data-driven requirements, including defining necessary data types and selecting effective data
  • Design system latency based on scenario analysis
  • Define product criteria, including performance and functional requirements
  • Come to the office 3x per week per our hybrid work policy, and report to the system design team manager
  • Over 3 years of professional experience, preferably in automotive system development
  • Experience translating user or product-level requirements into architecture and allocating them appropriately
  • Experience in deriving, tracking, and verifying automotive application requirements using the V-model process
  • Working proficiency in English
  • Experience using Japanese in a similar team (JLPT N2 or equivalent language ability)
  • Experience in project management and leadership
  • Software coding skills (Matlab, Python, or C/C++)
  • Experience with machine learning applications
  • Knowledge and experience with international AD/ADAS regulations (e.g., Euro NCAP, UN ECE, US NHTSA)
  • =========================================================================
