Requirements

At least 18 years of age.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in Child Care and/or Education (preferred).
Experience working in urban communities and managing an OST program or other community-based youth program (preferred).
Commitment to valuing and promoting diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
Demonstrated positive attitude, patience, and previous experience working with diverse populations.
Strong drive to improve the minds and lives of scholars within the community.
Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred).
Must be able to pass Background and Reference checks (in accordance with the WA State Fair Chance Act).
Committed to valuing and promoting diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
Able and willing to complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on first day, and other online and in-person training as required.

→Ensure that the goals of the program are achieved for each scholar.
→Assist in coordinating activities and events for parents, scholars, and staff, including field trips, guest speakers, and community service projects.
→Ensure that all curriculum and supplies are maintained throughout the program.
→Ensure scholars are receiving meaningful and engaging instruction.
→Implement and maintain a positive behavior-management system that is clear and aligns with the school, district, and state requirements.
→Always ensure the ongoing health and safety of attending children.
→Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and requirements.
→Implement the provided curriculum.
