What We Offer
~1 min read✓Provide direct psychiatric care to assigned patients.
✓Perform psychiatric evaluations: admission, assessments, diagnoses, treatment planning, and discharge.
✓Manage psychotropic medication prescribing, monitoring, and adjustments.
✓Participate in civil commitment, legal, or due process proceedings when applicable.
✓Contribute to quality improvement / quality management (QI/QM) programs.
✓Ensure compliance with internal controls, departmental policies, state licensing, and maintaining required registrations.
Requirements
~1 min read- Board Certified or Eligible (within 1 year of residency completion) in Psychiatry
- Psychiatrist - Corrections is required to have an active and unrestricted license in the state of TX
- Maintains an active Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification
- Have excellent skills in diagnostic assessment and counseling
- This position requires sound clinical judgment, professionalism, and independence
- Valid Driver's License is required
- Psychiatrist with active TX DEA required
