Responsibilities

→The Assessment Counselor administers, scores, and interprets a variety of assessments with inmates.
→Interviews participants to collect additional data not covered by the specified assessment tools.
→The Assessment Counselor prepares written reports based on results of assessment and testing tools.
→Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Associate’s degree in Human Services or Substance Abuse.
Ability to interact in a professional manner in both individual and group counseling settings.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to effectively communicate with participants, other staff, and leadership personnel and react quickly and appropriately in an emergency situation.
Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.
