Anesthesia Tech – Anesthesia Department - Midhshift

Position: Anesthesia Tech
Location: Glenview, IL
Full Time/Part Time: 40 hours per week
Hours: Monday-Friday, 12:00noon-8:30pm

Responsibilities

Under direction of supervisor, assist during pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative procedures
→
Pre-operative, pre-procedure supply and equipment set-up and room turnover.
→
Auditing, stocking and maintenance of anesthesia supply stations, calibration of POC equipment, high-level sterilization procedures and documentation
→
Provide basic level equipment troubleshooting
→
Order supplies via the Lawson Material Management System

Education: High School Graduate or Associates Degree
→
Certification: N/A
→
Experience: High school Diploma with 1 year experience as either an Anesthesia Tech, Patient Care Tech, or Emergency Medical Tech or Associate’s Degree if no clinical experience.

Unique or Preferred Skills: Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology. Ability to occasionally lift (patients and equipment), as well as push and/or pull heavy objects.
