At Mercy Health, you’ll become part of a proud history built on over 100 years of expertise, skill and care. As a Senior Employees Relations Advisor, you’ll use your deep industrial relations knowledge, analytical strengths and confident negotiation skills to guide leaders through complex ER matters, support enterprise bargaining, and ensure the consistent and effective application of legislation, awards and enterprise agreements. It takes a special kind of person to work in healthcare or community services. If you are genuinely interested in helping others, then you’ll find you can build something here and find your place in a team of 10,000 hearts.

To thrive in this role, you will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in Employment Law, Industrial Relations or a related discipline, with postgraduate studies highly regarded.
  • Strong technical expertise in industrial and employee relations, with the ability to interpret and apply complex legislation, awards and enterprise agreements.
  • High level business analytical and problem-solving skills that enable effective resolution of matters which consider broader business objectives, issues and implications.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide timely and accurate advice and information to internal and external stakeholders on a diverse range of ER issues.
  • Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information exercising the highest degree of discretion.
  • The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
