Responsibilities

→Assist veterinarians during examinations
→Handle and restrain patients using Fear Free techniques during treatments
→Assist with laboratory procedures and diagnostic tests
→Monitor vital signs and report any abnormalities to the veterinarian
→Educate pet owners on proper animal care
→Keep exam rooms and treatment areas clean and organized

Responsibilities may vary based on hospital needs as well as your experience, training, certifications, credentials, and assigned responsibilities.

Experience in animal handling and restraint
Knowledge of veterinary terminology
A passion for animal care and well-being
Excellent communication skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to become Fear Free certified (paid for by the hospital)
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift [Weight] lbs with assistance
Veterinary technician licensure is welcomed but not required
