We are seeking an accomplished Senior Director, Global Medical Affairs, to lead global medical strategy for an innovative investigational treatment targeting orexin receptor 2 (OX2R) for sleep-wake disorders. In this strategic leadership role, you will oversee medical affairs planning and execution across the product lifecycle, with a strong focus on launch readiness, scientific engagement, and evidence generation. You will collaborate with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to align medical strategy with clinical development, regulatory milestones, and commercialization objectives. Building trusted relationships with global scientific experts, healthcare professionals, and patient advocacy organizations will be central to advancing disease understanding and addressing unmet patient needs. You will also guide scientific communications, publications, educational initiatives, and stakeholder engagement across key international markets. This remote opportunity is ideal for a strategic medical affairs leader with proven global launch experience and a passion for translating scientific innovation into meaningful patient impact.

Identify emerging scientific opportunities, evidence gaps, and stakeholder needs to inform future development.
  • Oversee global launch readiness: Lead medical launch preparation across major markets, partnering with commercial, market access, health economics and outcomes research (HEOR), regulatory affairs, clinical development, and regional medical teams to deliver integrated launch strategies.
  • Coordinate medical launch deliverables: Guide the development and execution of scientific platforms, medical training materials, medical information resources, publication plans, scientific congress activities, and insight-generation initiatives in line with launch timelines and strategic priorities.
  • Support market access and value communication: Collaborate with HEOR and market access teams to shape global payer engagement strategies, strengthen evidence-based value communication, and ensure medical insights inform access and commercialization planning.
  • Build external scientific partnerships: Establish and maintain relationships with global key opinion leaders, clinical investigators, professional societies, and patient advocacy organizations. Lead scientific advisory boards, expert consultations, and other initiatives that generate actionable external insights.
  • Represent scientific leadership: Serve as a credible scientific ambassador and subject matter expert in orexin biology and sleep-wake disorders, representing the organization at major scientific congresses, industry meetings, and relevant external forums.
  • Champion cross-functional collaboration: Act as a strategic medical partner to commercial, market access, HEOR, regulatory, clinical development, patient advocacy, and corporate affairs teams, ensuring medical expertise informs business decisions and integrated plans.
  • Guide scientific communication and education: Provide strategic direction for scientific communication platforms, publication strategies, disease education, medical training, and external educational programs.
  • Ensure scientific and regulatory compliance: Review and guide externally facing scientific materials to ensure medical accuracy, scientific integrity, and compliance with applicable regulations, industry standards, and internal policies.
  • Influence strategic decision-making: Represent medical affairs on the cross-functional asset team, integrating scientific evidence, stakeholder insights, and patient needs into product strategy and organizational priorities.
