We are looking for a driven Summer Legal Intern with a basic understanding of legal principles and terms who is ready for an immersive, real-world experience. Under the supervision of our legal team, the Summer Legal Intern can expect to conduct legal research, draft documents, assist with contract review, and support the legal team with other legal activities. If you are a motivated team player who can maintain efficiency and accuracy when multitasking, we encourage you to apply in Lehi, Utah available to 1L students only.

Shadowing members of the Legal department as they perform their duties

Assisting with legal research, analysis, and record maintenance

Drafting legal documents, such as contracts and memos

Reviewing contracts and flagging key terms, risks, and issues for attorney review

Researching legal questions relevant to ecommerce, commercial, and intellectual property matters and concisely summarizing findings

Supporting compliance and corporate governance tasks

Participating in team meetings to learn how the Legal team supports business partners across the company

Taking on additional tasks or projects to learn more about legal and office operations

Currently pursuing a juris doctor degree at a top tier law school, 1L students only

Possess an understanding of legal principles and a positive attitude

Demonstrate strong legal research and writing skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely

Demonstrate strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy

Demonstrate strong organization and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Interest in area or areas of law related to Pattern’s business (corporate, litigation, M&A, securities, intellectual property, etc.)

Demonstrate collaboration, trustworthiness, receptiveness to feedback, and eagerness to learn

Handle sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity

Learn to work as part of the Legal team to compile and analyze data, track information, and support the internal company clients

You follow through with all assignments in a timely manner

You give superior effort to all tasks and projects assigned to you

You take full ownership of your projects and follow through to completion

You produce accurate, well-organized, and well-written work product

You ask thoughtful questions and apply feedback quickly

You protect confidentiality and exercise sound judgment at all times

This role will provide opportunities for mentorship and networking

You will gain hands-on exposure to the day-to-day work of an in-house legal team at a fast-growing ecommerce company

You will build practical research, drafting, and contract review skills that support your future legal career

You will collaborate closely with full-time Legal team members and receive supervision from the General Counsel and other Pattern attorneys. The General Counsel and other Pattern attorneys will serve as your mentors, meeting with you regularly to discuss your performance and provide guidance. This data-driven and results-oriented team values collaboration, encouraging all members to contribute ideas and insights to implement actionable solutions effectively.
