Join a litigation team where collaboration matters, mentorship is intentional, and your growth as an attorney is a firm-wide priority.
Marshall Dennehey, P.C., a nationally recognized Am Law 200 civil defense law firm with more than 60 years of dedicated service, is seeking a Professional Liability attorney with 5+ years of legal experience for its Philadelphia, Pennsylvania office.
The practice group is team-work based and client focused with the opportunity for client interaction and practice growth and offers an exciting opportunity to try cases and practice in Federal Court. Specifically, we are seeking candidates who have an interest in US Constitutional issues and defending government officials, police officers, prison guards, cities and municipalities against claims of civil rights violations and §1983 claims. In this fast-paced, practice, the attorney will interact with police officers, detectives and other officials to determine what occurred during shootings and arrests. The candidate must be comfortable interacting with officials, investigating allegations of improper conduct and visiting prisons to interview and depose witnesses.
At Marshall Dennehey, we invest in our attorneys. While you are not expected to independently manage cases from inception through trial on day one, you will work closely with experienced shareholders and associates who are committed to mentoring and skill development. Through hands-on experience, continuous feedback, and individualized goal-setting, you will gain the confidence and capability to grow into full case management at your own pace.
Strong analytical thinking, legal writing, research, and communication skills are highly valued—and continuously refined—within our litigation groups.
We pride ourselves on a diverse, inclusive, and open-door culture where ideas are welcomed, collaboration is encouraged, and attorneys at all levels have direct access to leadership. Our attorneys thrive because they are supported.
Marshall Dennehey seeks attorneys who are looking for a true “forever home.” We value steady career growth, internal advancement, and attorneys who want to build lasting professional relationships—while helping others succeed along the way.
In return, we offer:
- A competitive salary
- Multiple financial bonus opportunities throughout the year
- A comprehensive benefits package
- The firm-funded Marshall Associate Advantage™ Lifestyle Account which can cover student loan repayments, gym memberships, dry cleaning, theme park tickets, home delivered meal kits and more.
- Long-term stability and a clear future with the firm
Marshall Dennehey is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer (AA/M/F/D/V) and is deeply committed to fostering workplace diversity. Our efforts have been recognized by numerous publications, including the 2022 “Tipping the Scales” Award from the Diversity & Flexibility Alliance.
All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, marital status, veteran status, sexual orientation, genetic information, or any other protected characteristic.
Qualified candidates are encouraged to submit a resume and cover letter for consideration.
