Working closely with project managers, site supervisors, contractors, and field teams, you'll lead initiatives that identify and reduce risk, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote continuous improvement. This is an exciting opportunity for an HSE professional who enjoys working in dynamic construction environments, influencing positive change, and making a meaningful impact on both project success and employee wellbeing.

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve construction HSE programs, policies, and procedures.

  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure compliance.

  • Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses while implementing effective corrective and preventive actions.

  • Deliver engaging HSE training for employees and contractors on safety, emergency response, PPE, and environmental protection.

  • Maintain accurate HSE documentation, permits, reports, training records, and incident logs.

  • Collaborate with project teams to integrate HSE requirements into all phases of construction activities.

  • Monitor environmental performance and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and permit conditions.

  • Promote a proactive safety culture through employee engagement, communication, recognition programs, and emergency preparedness initiatives.

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum 3 years of progressive HSE experience within construction, infrastructure, industrial, or energy projects.

  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification required.

  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, ANSI, and other applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

  • Experience conducting incident investigations, root cause analyses, and developing corrective action plans.

  • CSP, CIH, or other relevant professional safety certifications are highly preferred.

  • At Hitachi Energy, you'll help build the energy systems of tomorrow while supporting an industry-leading commitment to health, safety, and sustainability.

  • We foster an inclusive and collaborative culture where innovation, continuous learning, and diverse perspectives are valued.

  • You'll benefit from global career opportunities, professional development programs, and the chance to make a lasting impact on people, projects, and communities.
