Packaging Engineer

We're seeking a Packaging Engineer responsible for developing, validating, and implementing packaging solutions across a diverse product portfolio. The role combines packaging design, testing, documentation, supplier collaboration, and manufacturing support to ensure packaging solutions meet business and customer requirements.

You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle while supporting new product introductions, packaging improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives. This position offers the opportunity to work on international projects, contribute to packaging innovation, and take ownership of packaging development activities from concept through implementation.

• Develop and validate packaging solutions for new and existing products
• Design packaging structures and collaborate with suppliers on prototypes and customizations
• Evaluate packaging designs for manufacturability, form, fit, and function
• Create and maintain packaging documentation, technical specifications, and Packaging Data Sheets
• Manage packaging testing and validation activities according to applicable standards
• Support new product introductions and packaging implementation within manufacturing environments
• Approve and validate new packaging components, equipment, processes, and operations
• Work closely with Purchasing and manufacturing teams to evaluate packaging feasibility and costs
• Identify opportunities for packaging innovation, cost reduction, and process improvements
• Provide recommendations and business cases for packaging optimization initiatives
• Support manufacturing sites with packaging-related technical expertise and problem resolution
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and meet business requirements
• Manage multiple packaging projects and priorities simultaneously
• Ensure packaging solutions comply with quality and regulatory requirements

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives supporting packaging and manufacturing operations

   

• 1-3 years of experience in packaging development or packaging engineering
• Experience with packaging design, testing and validation 
• Knowledge of packaging testing standards such as ISTA and ASTM
• Experience with CAD software
• Fluent English, both written and spoken
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills

   

• Experience with ArtiosCAD and Kongsberg plotter
• Experience within a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of packaging distribution testing methodologies
• Experience supporting product launches and manufacturing operations
• Familiarity with packaging documentation and technical specifications
• Experience driving process improvements and cost-saving initiatives
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and international stakeholders
