Buyer

Resideo is looking for a proactive Buyer to join our Supply Chain team in Brno. In this role, you will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, supporting material availability for production, and driving purchasing activities across assigned commodities.

Working closely with Regional Commodity Managers, Manufacturing, Planning, Quality, Engineering, and suppliers, you will play an important role in maintaining a reliable supply chain and ensuring smooth business operations. You will help support supplier performance, identify cost optimization opportunities, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.

• Collaborate with Regional Commodity Managers to identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for assigned commodities.
• Monitor supplier performance across quality, delivery, cost, logistics, and risk management metrics.
• Drive supplier improvement activities and support corrective action plans when needed.
• Coordinate supplier transitions, material substitutions, and manufacturing site transfers while minimizing operational impact.
• Help ensure material availability and proactively address potential supply chain risks.
• Manage critical supply issues and support shortage resolution activities.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements.
• Monitor market trends and commodity conditions that may impact supply or pricing.
• Maintain supplier master data and purchasing parameters in SAP.
• Ensure accuracy of purchased item data within ERP systems.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies and supplier payment issues.
• Manage non-conforming deliveries and coordinate corrective actions with suppliers.
• Support Annual Operating Plan (AOP) activities and commodity strategies.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support production and business objectives.

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.

   

• Experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or sales of electronic components.
• Experience working with suppliers and managing supplier relationships.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple activities simultaneously.

• Proactive approach and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

   

• Experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of electronic components and related supply chains.
• Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
• Understanding of sourcing and supplier management processes.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Project management experience.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and presentation skills.
• Continuous improvement mindset and ability to drive change.
