Calibration Technician

Job Title: Calibration Technician
Pay: $22.00 to $23.00 per hour
Location: Flint, MI area
Work Type: Full Time, Direct Placement
Location Type: On-site
Shift: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM

• Track all gauges through the calibration system and keep everything current
• Calibrate and verify measuring instruments in house
• Coordinate outsourced calibrations with outside labs: request quotes, create purchase orders, ship, receive, and inspect returns
• Review and file calibration certifications and test reports accurately
• Issue, maintain, and monitor gauges for production and quality staff
• Perform audits on the shop floor and support the Quality Manager as needed

• 3+ years of hands-on calibration experience
• Experience calibrating a range of measuring instruments and gauges (calipers, micrometers, gauge blocks, pin and thread gauges, etc.)
• Able to read and interpret manufacturing technical drawings
• Solid computer skills, including Excel, Word, and accurate typing
• Comfortable working independently and managing your own workload

• Gage Track or similar calibration management software
• Knowledge of ISO 17025
• Experience in an AS9100, aerospace, defense, or precision machining environment
