We are seeking a strategic, creative, and commercially minded Director of Brand Marketing to lead brand strategy, product marketing, integrated campaigns, and organic social media for a rapidly growing beauty and haircare business. This leadership role will translate consumer insights, market trends, and business objectives into compelling brand positioning and impactful go-to-market strategies. You will oversee product launches and integrated campaigns across direct-to-consumer (DTC), Amazon, TikTok Shop, and national retail channels. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure consistent brand storytelling, strong creative execution, and seamless campaign delivery. You will also lead and develop Brand and Social teams, fostering accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence. This is an opportunity to shape brand growth, strengthen consumer engagement, and drive measurable business outcomes in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

  • Brand Strategy and Consumer Insights: Define brand positioning, messaging, value propositions, and competitive differentiation. Develop annual and quarterly strategies informed by consumer research, customer feedback, category trends, and cultural insights. Identify target audiences, purchase motivations, unmet needs, and opportunities to strengthen product positioning.

  • Product Marketing and Go-to-Market Strategy: Lead end-to-end go-to-market planning for product launches, collections, and major initiatives. Define target consumers, product benefits, hero products, messaging, activation strategies, and channel-specific requirements. Coordinate launch plans, timelines, budgets, deliverables, and measurement frameworks to ensure effective execution.

  • Integrated Campaigns and Creative Direction: Develop creative concepts, storytelling platforms, and briefs grounded in consumer insights and product benefits. Coordinate campaigns across paid, owned, earned, retail, influencer, public relations, and experiential channels. Maintain consistent brand positioning while adapting creative assets to different audiences and platforms.

  • Social Media Strategy and Operations: Lead organic social strategy, content planning, publishing calendars, community engagement, and performance optimization. Establish quality-control processes to ensure content accuracy, brand consistency, and reliable publishing. Partner with Growth teams on social commerce, affiliate content, and paid amplification, using analytics and structured testing to improve engagement and commercial results.

  • Retail and Omnichannel Marketing: Develop coordinated marketing initiatives across DTC, Amazon, TikTok Shop, national retail, and international markets. Collaborate with Retail and Growth teams to support retailer-specific launches, merchandising, consumer education, and activations while maintaining consistent brand messaging.

  • Budget Management and Performance Measurement: Manage campaign plans, timelines, budgets, vendors, and external partners within approved investment priorities. Track milestones, responsibilities, dependencies, approvals, and delivery risks. Measure brand health, awareness, consideration, product adoption, social performance, launch readiness, and budget effectiveness. Lead post-campaign reviews to identify learnings and improve future initiatives.

  • Team Leadership and Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead, coach, and develop Brand and Social team members, establishing clear priorities, responsibilities, deadlines, and quality standards. Partner with Product Development, Operations, Supply Chain, Creative, Growth, E-Commerce, Retail, and PR to align execution with business goals. Anticipate resource needs, resolve dependencies, maintain continuity, and proactively address risks to delivery.

  • Industry Expertise: Demonstrated experience in beauty, haircare, personal care, or a closely related consumer packaged goods (CPG) category, with ownership of product launches from consumer insights and positioning through execution and performance evaluation.

  • Social Media Leadership: Direct experience managing social media teams, organic content strategies, publishing operations, creative quality, community engagement, and shoppable content.
