Position Summary

The Sales Training Analyst helps sales team members develop and deliver compelling presentations and pitches for government customers. This role combines sales coaching, presentation development, and structured practice to strengthen how sales representatives communicate customer needs, solution value, and key differentiators.

Working within an established sales training and presentation framework, the analyst reviews strategic decks, facilitates pitch rehearsals, and provides clear, actionable coaching notes. The goal is to help sales representatives enter customer conversations prepared, confident, and equipped with the strongest possible pitch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support strategic presentation development. Partner with sales representatives to develop and refine customer presentations and pitch decks, ensuring a clear narrative, relevant messaging, and a persuasive connection between customer priorities and proposed solutions.
  • Facilitate pitch practice. Conduct individual and group rehearsals to help representatives improve delivery, pacing, transitions, discovery questions, objection handling, and responses to customer questions.
  • Provide structured coaching. Evaluate presentations and practice sessions using an established framework, documenting strengths, opportunities for improvement, and specific actions to strengthen the pitch.
  • Build government customer relevance. Coach representatives to connect their presentations to the customer’s mission, operational challenges, stakeholders, and desired outcomes.
  • Strengthen value communication. Help representatives explain benefits, supporting evidence, and competitive differentiators clearly and credibly.
  • Support presentation readiness. Coordinate follow-up practice and deck revisions to ensure representatives address feedback before customer meetings.
  • Collaborate across teams. Work with sales leaders, sales enablement, subject matter experts, and other partners to align coaching with sales strategy and approved messaging.
  • Identify recurring development needs. Track common coaching themes and recommend improvements to training materials, presentation resources, and practice activities.
  • Maintain useful resources. Organize coaching notes, presentation examples, and best practices that help the sales organization improve consistently.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in sales training, sales enablement, sales coaching, presentation development, or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of consultative selling and the elements of an effective customer pitch.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, including the ability to turn complex information into a clear customer narrative.
  • Ability to deliver constructive, specific feedback and build productive relationships with sales representatives at different experience levels.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint or similar presentation tools, with strong attention to slide structure, clarity, and visual consistency.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to support multiple representatives and presentation deadlines.
  • Ability to apply a consistent coaching framework while adapting guidance to individual development needs and customer situations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting sales to federal, state, or local government customers.
  • Familiarity with government buying environments and mission-focused value propositions.
  • Experience facilitating role-play exercises, pitch rehearsals, or presentation workshops.
  • Experience using coaching assessments and feedback trends to inform sales development.
