Join Duke Energy’s Instrumentation & Control Design Engineering team at Oconee Nuclear Station and help modernize a three-unit nuclear generating facility that provides safe, reliable, carbon-free electricity to the Carolinas. In this role, you will apply established engineering experience to develop and deliver solutions that support continued operation into the 2050s, ranging from targeted component upgrades to major digital control-system replacements.

You will work with multidisciplinary partners across Operations, Maintenance, Projects, Licensing, Cybersecurity, vendors, and external design organizations. The role requires advanced technical judgment and ownership of increasingly complex engineering work from concept through installation, testing, turnover, and closeout. Senior-level candidates will manage non-routine work with very minimal supervision and provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to others.
