Help students make informed financial decisions and confidently navigate the costs of their education. As a Student Finance Coordinator, you will guide prospective and current students through their financial aid packages, explaining tuition costs, available funding sources, and any remaining payment obligations. You will assess eligibility for federal, state, military, and other financial assistance programs while helping students understand their borrowing options and manage their education-related debt. Through phone calls, emails, and other communication channels, you will provide personalized financial guidance and responsive customer support. Working in a remote educational services environment, you will collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate financial aid processing, timely disbursements, and clear communication. This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented, service-driven professional who enjoys problem-solving and making education more financially accessible.

  • Provide inbound and outbound support to prospective and enrolled students by phone, email, and other communication channels regarding completed financial aid packages and changes to funding arrangements.
  • Conduct financial readiness calls, financial aid package review calls, and account reviews for students who are no longer enrolled, helping them understand their financial responsibilities.
  • Explain financial aid award letters in detail, outlining the amounts covered by federal, state, military, and external funding sources and identifying any remaining tuition or out-of-pocket payment obligations.
  • Review student financial aid applications and supporting documentation to determine eligibility in accordance with applicable U.S. Department of Education requirements.
  • Evaluate overlapping student loans, annual borrowing limits, and aggregate loan limits to support accurate eligibility decisions, timely disbursements, and resolution of exceptions.
  • Discuss current student loan balances, borrowing eligibility, and future funding availability with students, helping them understand the potential impact of additional borrowing on their overall debt.
  • Provide guidance on available payment plans, alternative private loan lenders, and internal loan programs to help students identify appropriate options for covering outstanding educational expenses.
  • Monitor students' financial obligations throughout their academic careers, including reviewing accounts at the end of each term to identify outstanding balances and determine whether additional payments are required.
  • Assess students' ability to meet their financial obligations and provide clear information to support informed decisions about education financing.
  • Respond to incoming billing inquiries, investigate account questions, and coordinate with relevant teams to resolve financial concerns efficiently.
  • Update financial aid packages when eligibility or funding circumstances change, make necessary adjustments, and issue revised award letters when appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate student records and follow established procedures, regulatory requirements, and confidentiality standards.
  • Deliver consistent, high-quality customer service while meeting departmental expectations for accuracy, productivity, responsiveness, and timely processing.
