Customer Service Assistant – Helpline Team (Maternity Cover)

Consol is a growing national tanning brand, committed to safe and responsible tanning. We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our Helpline Team on a 9-month fixed-term contract covering maternity leave.

About the role

You will support our studio teams with the smooth day-to-day running of Consol studios and help ensure our customers receive the highest standard of service.

This varied role involves answering customer queries, providing remote support to studios and completing administrative tasks to help maintain efficient operations.

Working hours

This is a 9-month maternity cover position. The Helpline operates Monday to Sunday between 7am and 10.30pm. Evening and weekend availability is essential. Some designated shifts will be worked from home.

During your training and probationary period, your shifts will be arranged by the Helpline Manager so you can work alongside experienced colleagues and receive support and guidance. These shifts may differ from your agreed ongoing working pattern, which will normally begin after successful completion of probation, unless otherwise agreed with the Helpline Manager.

What we’re looking for

Essential

• Previous customer service experience.
• GCSE English or an equivalent qualification, or demonstrable communication skills.
• Experience handling calls and answering customer queries.
• Experience supporting a team by email and telephone.
• Good time management and organisational skills.
• Motivation to learn and take on new challenges.

Desirable

• Experience in a fast-paced customer service environment.
• Experience working with age-restricted products and checking age verification.
• Experience working in a dedicated support team.
• Familiarity with CCTV technology and remote services.
