Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
Experience with radar systems.
Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and/or Cameo.
Experience with MATLAB and/or Linux.

Advanced STEM degree.
Knowledge of radar concepts, including detection, discrimination, tracking, and signal processing algorithm performance.
Experience with Python, C/C++, or Java.
Experience with Agile development practices, including JIRA and Confluence.
Strong analytical, technical, and problem‑solving skills.
Strong communications skills

Raytheon’s Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Surface Radars & Sensors Center is currently looking for a Systems Engineer II to support the Huntsville AL/Kentucky Department. We specialize in concept development, architecture design, requirements generation and flow-down, modeling and simulation, systems analysis, integration, test, and evaluation of advanced Missile Defense and Sensor Systems. In this role, you will support the modernization of Ground-Based Radar (GBR) systems by defining and analyzing system requirements, developing system architectures, and partnering closely with system, software, and integration/test engineering teams.

Responsibilities

→You will lead architecture and requirements development activities that define, characterize, develop and document Ground Based Radar (GBR) systems in the form of architectural framework updates, system-of-system functional and performance requirements, detailed algorithm descriptions, test scenario definition, and verification approach.
→You will conduct requirements analysis to verify system-level performance requirements.
→You will code system models, algorithms, test scripts, and evaluation tools for radar performance analysis.
→Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams and communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
→Engage directly with customers and lead the development of technical solutions to complex challenges.
→Develop and maintain engineering processes and tools.
→Implement Agile development practices, including JIRA and Confluence.
→You will work independently and within geographically distributed teams.
→This role is based onsite in Huntsville, AL.
→Travel is 10% - 15% domestically.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
