SailPoint Solution Architect (SA) — Enterprise Identity Security
About the Role & Mission -
As a Solution Architect (SA) at SailPoint, you serve as a Principal-Level Identity Security Strategist for our most strategic enterprise accounts. Your mission is to own the multi-year platform adoption roadmap, architecting unified governance across human, machine, and emerging AI agent identities. You bridge the gap between technical architecture and business value, ensuring every deployment across SailPoint Human Fabric and SailPoint Agentic Fabric translates into business value, breach risk reduction, compliance efficiency, and cost avoidance.
You act as a peer and trusted advisor to customer CISOs, CIOs, and VP-level engineering leaders. Guided by SailPoint's core values—Innovation, Integrity, Impact, and Individuals—you partner with Customer Success Managers (CSMs) to secure renewals, drive expansions, and channel field patterns back to Product Management and Engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Platform Adoption Roadmap Ownership: Design and govern multi-year adoption roadmaps across ISC, Agentic Fabric, DAS, MIS, and Harbor Pilot based on customer maturity and business priorities.
- Unified Identity Architecture: Architect comprehensive governance models across human, non-human/machine, and autonomous AI agents, ensuring policy coherence and robust integrations across enterprise ecosystems.
- Executive Technical Advisory: Advise C-suite and VP-level stakeholders, articulating complex technical concepts in board-level cyber risk and financial ROI terms.
- Agentic Identity Governance: Pioneer adoption of the SailPoint Agentic Fabric, guiding clients through AI agent discovery, risk-tier classification, human ownership mapping, and dynamic least privilege.
- Regulatory Compliance Translation: Map complex mandates (DORA, NIS2, SEC disclosures, SOX, HIPAA) into native platform controls, certification schedules, and access policies.
- Cross-Account Synthesis & Product Influence: Synthesize field anti-patterns and technical gaps into reusable frameworks, advocating customer needs to the SailPoint Tech Council and Product teams.
- Commercial Alignment & Mentorship: Partner with CSMs on Joint Success Plans to protect renewals and justify expansions, while mentoring Solution Architects and supporting other Technical Advisors.
Path to Success
- 30 Days (Immersion): Complete deep enablement on SailPoint’s portfolio (ISC, NERM, DAS, Atlas); shadow strategic customer engagements, Executive Business Reviews (EBRs), and internal consulting practices.
- 60 Days (Collaboration): Partner with CSMs to deliver joint maturity assessments; align business drivers with SailPoint architecture; design integration roadmaps (ServiceNow, SAP, AD, Workday, etc).
- 90 Days (Ownership): Act as lead strategic advisor on assigned accounts; co-create forward-looking success plans; advocate technical gaps to Product/Engineering and the Tech Council.
