Japanese teacher for kids in Tokyo, Japan

Join the Global LT community and help provide language lessons to business professionals and their families worldwide. We are looking for a Japanese teacher to provide customized in-person lessons to these clients in Tokyo, Japan.

• Student: Twin girls, will be 8 years old in Dec 2026
• Availability:  Twice a week, one session can be on Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon after 3 pm, the other session on Saturday morning (If at some weeks Saturday is no good, can replace it on Sunday too)
• Preferred start date: ASAP
• Lesson frequency: Twice a week
• Lesson duration: 1 hour 
• Student’s location/time zone: 渋谷区広尾，Hiroo, Japan 
• Current language level:  They started from Beginner level and have completed 130 +lesson hours in the past 2 years.  A teacher can assess them.   
• Native and other spoken languages: English. The girls were born in Singapore, they spent the past 3 years in the US.  Their father is Japanese. 
• Student’s language needs and goals:  Speaking, Listening Reading, Writing everything.  But Priority is to be able to communicate, listen and speak, age-appropriate Japanese. 

• →Deliver engaging, tailored lessons that inspire and motivate students.
• →Design and implement customized curricula in alignment with learners' proficiency levels and objectives.
• →Track and assess student progress, guiding them to help them achieve their learning goals.
• →Communicate professionally and effectively with students, ensuring a positive learning environment.

• Native or near-native proficiency in the target language, both written and spoken.
• A degree or certification in language teaching, education, instructional design, linguistics, second-language acquisition, or a related field.
• At least two years of teaching experience, preferably in a language context.
